Privacy policy
What DayRun is
DayRun is a mobile errand planner. You tell us what you need done and by when. The app chooses stores, explains the choice, and plans a driving loop. You do not type an address to create an errand.
What we collect
- Phone number, to send a sign-in code.
- Email, if you use email sign-in or add it to your profile.
- Name, city, home pin, and work pin.
- Errands, deadlines, chosen places, day plans, and files you save in Wallet.
- Text or voice of the needs you add, and photos you attach so we can turn them into cards.
- Support chats you start on this site: your name, email, and messages, so a teammate can reply.
- Device id, and your location while the app is open, so nearby stops can be ordered. We do not track you after you leave the app.
How we use it
To run your account, pick places, build a loop, send login codes, and improve parsing when a need is messy. We do not sell your list, location, or files. We do not show other people your errands.
Who helps us run it
- Our cloud host, for the API and the Postgres database where your account lives.
- Twilio, to deliver text codes to your phone.
- OpenAI, when you add messy speech or screenshots, so we can turn them into errand cards.
- OpenStreetMap services (including Nominatim and OSRM) for neighborhood labels and drive times.
- Cloudflare, for this website and to forward hello@ and privacy@ to us.
- Apple and Google, if you download DayRun from their stores.
Navigate in the app opens Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze on your phone. Those apps have their own policies.
How long we keep it
Account data stays until you delete the account. Login codes expire in minutes. Server logs are short-lived. Wallet files stay until you remove them or delete the account.
Your choices
You can edit your name, city, and pins in the app. You can delete your account from the app, or email privacy@getdayrun.com and we will delete the data we hold for that account.
Children
DayRun is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, we will update this page and the date above.
